     York County is proud to offer the Eighth Annual Rhythms on the Riverwalk concert series, to be held this fall at Riverwalk Landing in historic Yorktown. The weekly concert series will take place on the performance stage, overlooking the York River.

     This five-week concert series will once again feature some of the finest in jazz and big band music the area has to offer. In addition, country music will once again be featured in this year’s line-up.

     The series will be held on Fridays from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. beginning September 7 and running through October 5. The entertainment schedule is as follows:

 

·         September 7               Williamsburg Classic Swing Orchestra

·         September 14             Super Jazz Band featuring Conni Mann

·         September 21             Charles Darden Band

·         September 28             Doug Dunn and the Steel River Band

·         October 5                    Tailgate Down

 

     The series is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and/or lawn chairs. Food will be available for purchase. Free parking is available at the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building, and other designated public parking lots throughout Yorktown.
