Brian K. Woodward, P.E. is the Deputy Director of the County's Department of Public Works. Under the Public Works organization, Mr. Woodward has direct oversight of:
- Infrastructure Management
- Project Inspections/Development Site Work
- Utilities Operations
- Waste Management & Recycling
Mr. Woodward is actively involved in the extension of water and sanitary sewer facilities to existing developed neighborhoods, Stormwater capital projects and the curbside solid waste and recycling collection programs.
Mr. Woodward received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech (1988) and became a licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1994. He is currently enrolled and seeking a Masters Certificate in Public Administration from Virginia Tech. Mr. Woodward began his career with York County in 1988 with the Department of Public Works and Utilities. Mr. Woodward has served as the Waste Management Superintendent (1992-1994) and as the Chief of Utilities (1996-2015).
