COVID-19 Eviction Prevention Program

About the Program:

Emergency payment of rent to prevent eviction and ensure housing stability for households financially impacted by job loss, furlough, or reduced hours as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Live in York County
  • Have a current lease in their name
  • Have a total Household Income at/below 120% of the Area Median Income
  • Have experienced a financial hardship due to the Coronavirus Pandemic
    • Financial hardship examples include:
      • Laid Off
      • Business Closed
      • COVID Related Illness
      • Lack of Childcare
      • Furloughed
      • Reduced Hours
      • High Risk of Infection
      • Other

Required Documentation:

  • Client Application
  • Valid Lease
  • Proof of Income
  • Pay / Quit Notice of Unlawful Detainer
  • Payment Ledger from the landlord
  • Proof financial hardship is due to COVID
  • Landlord / Tenant Repayment Agreement (if applicable) to be provided prior to initial Rent Assistance Payment

All "Required Documentation" must be provided to the Office of Housing & Neighborhood Revitalization prior to the scheduled eligibility determination appointment. Documentation can be submitted by:
