About the Program:
Emergency payment of rent to prevent eviction and ensure housing stability for households financially impacted by job loss, furlough, or reduced hours as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Required Documentation:
- Client Application
- Valid Lease
- Proof of Income
- Pay / Quit Notice of Unlawful Detainer
- Payment Ledger from the landlord
- Proof financial hardship is due to COVID
- Landlord / Tenant Repayment Agreement (if applicable) to be provided prior to initial Rent Assistance Payment
All "Required Documentation" must be provided to the Office of Housing & Neighborhood Revitalization prior to the scheduled eligibility determination appointment.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Live in York County
- Have a current lease in their name
- Have a total Household Income at/below 120% of the Area Median Income
- Have experienced a financial hardship due to the Coronavirus Pandemic
- Financial hardship examples include:
- Laid Off
- Business Closed
- COVID Related Illness
- Lack of Childcare
- Furloughed
- Reduced Hours
- High Risk of Infection
- Other
