Cookie Week at the Library

Posted on December 14, 2020 at 10:48 AM by Elizabeth Land

Cookie Week at York County Public Library is Dec. 14-19, 2020.

Tis the season for baking cookies and making gingerbread houses, so we are celebrating Cookie Week at the York County Public Library. Celebrate inside and outside the library with plenty of fun!

Snuggle Stories Time

Join Ms. Dreama and Ms. Sarah for a special Snuggle Stories Time, featuring a kangaroo friend, plus songs and rhymes about cookies! Visit our YouTube Channel or watch the video below.

Gingerbread Man Hunt

Visit the Tabb or Yorktown Libraries to hunt for that naughty Gingerbread Man! Our staff were hard at work baking up a surprise, only to have him get up and run away. Now he's hiding in the Youth Services department, and we need your help to find him! Explore the library and if you catch him, bring him to the Youth Services Desk at either branch to earn a prize.

Activity Kit

This month's activity kit for kids features plenty of cookie-themed fun. Make sure you stop by the Tabb or Yorktown Libraries while supplies last to grab your kit. Can't make it to the library before the kits run out? Don't worry! Check out the links below to join the fun:

Have questions? Call the Tabb Youth Services desk at 757-890-5110 or the Yorktown Youth Services desk at 757-890-3236. Don't forget to get to the library to stock up on holiday reading soon. The York County Public Library will be closed the following days in honor of Christmas and the New Year:

  • Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020 through Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020
  • Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020 through Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021
