[ARCHIVED] Teen Tuesdays: Adventure with us during our D&D event

The original item was published from September 21, 2021 to September 20, 2021 3:37 PM

Library hosts Dungeons & Dragons Campaign for middle and high schoolers on Sept. 25.

There is a Living Library. Through some mysterious force, knowledge that exists in every realm becomes a real book on the shelves of this library. No one knows who created it, but as time passes, it has continued to expand to house its knowledge. Many have sought to harness the knowledge – and power – of the Living Library. To avoid a dark fate, the Living Library did something no one expected: It recruited guardians to protect itself. For many years, the Guardians of the Living Library kept it safe for all to benefit from. But even they couldn’t stop the wizard Obsidian when he decided to invade the Living Library. Accessing dark magic, Obsidian took over the heart of the Living Library, forcing it to expand into new realms, cracking the barriers between worlds. These rifts gave Obsidian access to countless worlds and knowledge, growing his power. Working in secret, the few remaining guardians have kept Obsidian from reaching into our reality. Until today. Now one rogue guardian must recruit our realm’s bravest heroes to help her rescue the Living Library from Obsidian’s shadowy control, or all will be lost.

Will you be one of the brave heroes summoned to save the Living Library and rescue all the knowledge of the realms? Join us from 12- 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, to test your wits against the dark wizard and help defeat Obsidian. Experienced and inexperienced adventurers ages 11-17 are encouraged to join. We will provide dice and characters for you to play with. Space is limited to only the bravest of heroes and registration is required.
