Whether made into movies or shows for television or streaming services, the group had fun discussing these titles and some of the adaptations.

TBR Recap: Memoirs and Autobiographies

Book cover of My Life in France by Julia Child The intrepid Tabb Book Readers (TBR) met on Saturday, June 15, to discuss the books they read for June's theme: Memoirs/Autobiography. Memoirs and autobiographies aim to share the experiences of an individual, which can reveal that our experiences are often universal. Written by the subject of the title, memoirs focus on a slice of an individual's life, while autobiographies tend to take a longer view.

The Tabb Book Readers, a book club for adults that meets on the third Saturday at the Tabb Library, focuses on discovering new books and sharing them with other readers.

Want to join? We are always looking for new members. TBR will hold its next meeting at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, in the Tabb Library Meeting Room. Members will read a memoir or autobiography of their choice. You can register for the event through our online event calendar, or by calling the Tabb Reference Desk at 757-890-5120.
