Come to New Quarter Park Hello All, I hope everyone has had a great week so far. This Saturday, February 22, we will have our monthly Bird Walk! This free program is led by members of the Williamsburg Bird Club. Participants will meet at the main parking lot next to the basketball courts at 8 a.m. The 2-hour "walk-in-the-park" will be a wonderful opportunity to view and identify birds! Pre-registration is not required. Registration is now open for the 3rd Annual Easter Egg Scramble! The scramble will be held on Saturday, April 4. Pre-event activities and check-in start at 12 p.m. Before the hunt, children of all ages can enjoy a variety of games, a visit from the Easter Bunny, and more! Children ages 5-12 will be divided into groups with adult leaders to hunt through the trails for Easter eggs. Pre-registration for this program is required due to limited space. Register online by visiting our website: www.yorkcounty.gov/parksandrec. The fee is $5 per child. For more information, please call the Parks and Recreation main office at 757-890-3500. See you at the park, Michael Wilcox NOTE: For weather related cancellations, please call our RainoutLine at 757-890-3501 and use extension 35 for events, extension 34 for the disc golf course, or extension 33 for trails at New Quarter Park.
