Hello All, We have another nature craft video project for you here Egg Carton Herb Garden! Learn how to plant an herb garden using your old egg cartons. This quick and easy project is a great way to introduce your children to gardening. After planting your seeds, place the egg carton on a window sill, water them over the next two weeks and watch them grow. An additional video will be coming in the next few weeks, showing how to transplant your herbs to bigger pots or a garden bed. We will have more fun video projects in upcoming emails! Please remember: - Since we are unable to host programs and shelter reservations through June 10th, we will be adjusting our schedule to try to reschedule those programs as we are able.
- Staff on duty will open the park and restrooms, but the park office will not be open to the public.
- Playgrounds and basketball courts are closed.
- The disc golf course is still open and is free of charge to play during this time period.
- With the office closed, be sure to bring plenty of water with you.
- The water from faucets and spigots is non-potable (untreated) and not safe to drink.
Patrons may still call the park office at 757-890-5840 or the staff cellphone (please do not text) at 757-812-5589 during park hours. Please stay safe and see you at the park, Michael Wilcox
