We hope everyone is enjoying our parks being open and using our parks safely. Our online registration system will be down on Monday, May 4th as our Information Technology Department completes upgrades. We appreciate your patience with this matter.

Check out our nature craft video project for you here Recycled Bird Feeder! Learn how to make a bird feeder from everyday items lying around your house. This quick and easy project is a great way to introduce your children to birding. Place the feeder on a tree in your backyard and see what kinds of birds are in your neighborhood. To identify the birds, click here for the Audubon bird identification webpage. Thanks to the Williamsburg Bird Club for donating birdseed for New Quarter Park. Get ready for birding with some of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s free resources:

  • Check out the Inside Birding video created by Team Sapsucker captains Chris Wood and Jessie Barry.
  • Download the free Merlin Bird ID app for instant help with bird identification, plus photos, and facts.
  • Want to get bird identification down to a science? Test your ears with Bird Song Hero, and see if you can guess the bird song!
  • If you haven't already, sign up for eBird and contribute your sightings for use in science and conservation.
