New Quarter Park

Hello All,

You can now reserve kayaks through May 30. We will be offering kayak rentals at Back Creek Park and New Quarter Park by pre-paid reservations. You may do this no later than 48 hours before you would like to come. To reserve, please visit www.yorkcounty.gov/parksandrec and click the purple "Register Online Here!" button.  If you do not have an account with us you will need to create one by following the directions on that page. Once you have created/logged in, you may choose Kayaking from the list on the left, choose your date/time and add to cart. You will receive a receipt emailed to you with information about your reservation. Beaches, playgrounds, and basketball courts remain closed.

Registration for our 3rd annual Eco-Art and Nature Camp is open until June 1. Children 8- 12 years of age will spend the day traversing New Quarter Park and learning about all it has to offer. We will have a daily theme and create up-cycled works of art. The themes for this year are Fish, Insects, Pollinators, Leave No Trace, and Survival! Registration is $65 per child (resident) and $80 per child (non-resident).  Each participant will receive a free fishing pole.

At this time, if we are in phase 2 of Forward Virginia, we will have Bird Walks beginning again on June 27, at 8 a.m. The FREE walks are led by the Williamsburg Bird Club and meet in the main parking lot.

You can register for any of our programs at www.yorkcounty.gov/parksandrec. Click on the purple "Register Online Here!" button.  If we cancel for any reason, we will issue full refunds.

We are looking forward to seeing you all!  The park has its own stunning natural beauty…but the best part is YOU!

At New Quarter Park, please remember:

  • Staff on duty will open the park and restrooms, but the park office will not be open to the public.
