Registration Now Open for York County Summer Sports Camps; Soccer and Volleyball for Kids!
Parents, are your children ready to go outside and have fun with sports again? Register your kids for one of our Summer Sports Camps! In these camps, children can try something new or sharpen their skills and maybe even learn a few new moves. Registration is available at www.yorkcounty.gov/parksandrec. Sign-ups are accepted until the camp is full or one week prior to start date. For more information, call Parks and Recreation at (757) 890-3500, Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Lionsbridge FC Soccer Sports Camp
High-quality instructors are leading Half-Day and Full-Day camps for boys and girls July 6-10, and an Evening Camp for boys and girls July 13-16. All camps will be held at the spacious McReynolds Athletic Complex (MAC). See the schedule below for the details for each of these camp options: July 6-10 or July 13-16. Times and fees are as follows:
Legacy Soccer Sports Camp
- Half-Day Camp (July 6-10; ages 7-17): 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
- Residents: $129; Non-residents: $154
- Full-Day Camp (July 6-10; ages 7-17): 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.)
- Residents: $199; Non-residents: $224
- Evening Camp (July 13-16; ages 5-17): 5:45 - 8 p.m.
- Residents: $99; Non-residents: $124
Kendall Pressey and his Legacy staff will lead a morning camp held July 20-24
from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the McReynolds Athletic Complex (MAC). This camp is for boys and girls ages 4-14
Volleyball Sports Camp
- Residents: $100; Non-residents: $125
Former professional volleyball player Margaret Aleman will host these volleyball camps for boys and girls at York Middle School the week of July 27-31.
The fee is $140 for York County residents and $165 for non-residents. Times and fees are as follows:
- Ages 7-11: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Ages 12-16: 1 to 4 p.m.
- Residents: $140; Non-residents: $165
PARENTS: York County Parks and Recreation has planned a fun and SAFE summer of programs. When necessary, our programs will be modified to meet State Executive Orders, County Guidelines, and CDC recommendations. As the COVID-19 situation evolves, we will continue to provide program updates and make necessary adjustments based on the latest recommendations.
