Parks and Recreation Presents Movies in the Parks!; Adult Tennis and Fitness Classes Taking Registrations

The York County Movies in the Parks! program returns Friday, July 10. This free nine-week movie series will be held Friday and Saturday evenings at three County parks: Charles Brown Park, McReynolds Athletic Complex (MAC), and New Quarter Park. This program is a great way to get the family outdoors for a fun event while practicing social distancing. Movie-goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Concessions are available at each movie showing.

Summer Adult Fitness Classes are now registering for four exciting classes! Held at Grafton Bethel Elementary School, these classes begin July 13 and are Monday and Wednesday evenings, as well as Saturday mornings. Due to Phase 3 guidelines, class sizes are limited and participants will be spaced 10 feet apart.
Class offered include Hi/Lo Combo, Yoga, Cardio Combo, and Strength Training. Participants are required to bring their own mats, weights, and water bottles.
The fee per program is $25 for York County residents and $50 for non-York County residents. Please register online by Friday, July 10. Registration and complete program details are available at www.yorkcounty.gov/parksandrec.
Tennis anyone? Summer Adult Tennis Lessons are being offered at Back Creek Park on Tuesday evenings starting July 28. Beginning lessons are 6 to 7:15 p.m., followed by the Intermediate classes from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. Lessons focus on varying levels of fundamentals, technique, and strategy. Lessons last four weeks.
The fee is $45 for York County residents and $70 for non-York County residents. Space is limited. Please register online by July 22. Registration and program details are available at www.yorkcounty.gov/parksandrec.
