Popular Plant Sale Returns with Safety Measures
August 7, 2020
The York-Poquoson Master Gardeners plant sale, typically held the first Saturday in May, is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the York Learning Garden, 301 Goodwin Neck Road (adjacent to the County Public Safety Building). Annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees will be for sale. This popular sale will feature an altered format to fit the current pandemic situation. Under the current COVID-19 guidelines, shoppers will be required to wear a mask and to bring their own boxes, wagons, or carts. Visitors will be required to follow social distancing requirements with only 30 shoppers allowed in the garden at a time. Plants for sale are placed strategically so that shoppers will proceed one-way through the garden while making their selections. Payment by check is preferred or by exact cash amount. For more information about the plant sale, call (757) 890-4940.
