 #1 Youth Art Classes 

Art Classes

Arts & Crafts Class - Tuesdays, October 6-November 24, the Arts and Crafts class is both fun and educational where students learn to draw, paint, sketch and have fun with clay. The main objective of the class is to introduce the children to a myriad of arts and crafts media and techniques. Deadline to register is October 5.

 #2 Movie in the Park - MAC 

Friday, October 16 - "The Goonies", a group of young misfits called The Goonies discover an ancient map and set out on an adventure to find a legendary pirate's long-lost treasure. This movie will be shown at McReynolds Athletic Complex (MAC), 412 Sports Way, Yorktown, VA 23692. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Concessions will be available for sale. In case of inclement weather, please call RainoutLine 890-3501 extension 11 for status of events at the MAC.

 #3 Diabetes Self-Management Workshop 

Healthy Living

Diabetes Self-Management Workshop Offered with Social Distancing, Tuesdays, October 20-November 24 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. - The free program, includes materials, will be held at the Senior Center of York. Sessions are interactive and teach the skills needed for day to day management of diabetes. Information on preventing complications, menu planning, monitoring blood sugar levels, stress, exercise and relaxation are just a few of the topics that will be covered. The companion book, Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions accompanies and supplements the material presented in the workshop.  #4 Halloween Games & Trivia at the Senior Center 

Halloween Games & Trivia

Join us on Friday, October 30 at 1 p.m. at the Senior Center of York. Come test your knowledge of Halloween and play some games. Limited Space! Register online or call the Senior Center at 757-890-3444. Deadline to register is October 28.

 #5 Movie in the Park - NQP 

Monsters University

Friday, October 30 - "Monsters University", a look at the relationship between Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) and James P. "Sully" Sullivan (John Goodman) during their days at Monsters University, when they weren't necessarily the best of friends. This movie will be shown at New Quarter Park (NQP), 1000 Lakeshead Drive
Williamsburg, VA 23185. In case of inclement weather, please call RainoutLine 890-3501 extension 35 for status of events at NQP.
