 #1 Flu Shot Clinic at the Senior Center 

Flu Shot Clinic

The Senior Center of York will hold a flu clinic for seniors age 55 over on Friday, November 6 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Time slots must be reserved in advance. Most major insurances can be billed. You will need to bring your insurance information, a photo ID, and complete the informed consent for vaccination and assessment form. If you do not have insurance the out-of-pocket cost is $40.99 for the standard flu vaccine and $72.99 for the high dose, which is recommended for people 65 years of age and older. Register online by November 2. Anyone entering the Senior Center will be required to wear a face mask, have their temperature checked, answer wellness questions, and social distance.

 #2 Private Family Skating Sessions 

We are now offering one-hour private family skating sessions, which include song requests and skates/rollerblades for $50 on Fridays and Saturdays. Snack packs (4 drinks/4 snacks) for a family of four are available for $5. To maintain the safety of others, all skaters must be from the same household. To register, please check our website.

 #3 Birthday Bash at the Senior Center 

Singer Bryan Forrest

November Birthday Bash, Friday, November 13, at 1 p.m. Guitarist and singer Bryan Forrest will perform a wide variety of feel-good and popular tunes of yesteryear for the Center’s anniversary. Pre-registration is required by November 9. To recreate responsibly, masks and social distancing are required (space is limited).

 #4 Youth Basketball Clinics 

Youth Basketball Clinics

York County is very happy to offer basketball clinics to 8 and under, 10 and under, and 12 and under divisions. The 3-week clinic will be limited in size to 10 per class, but it allows your child to continue working on their motor skills and conditioning. Locations will be Seaford Elementary and Coventry Elementary. Dates will be November 7, 14, and 21 at 9:00 am, 10:30 am, and 12:00 pm. Instructors will be York County staff that have coached or instructed the start smart program. Register online by November 4.

 #5 Stories by the Fire 

Stories by the Fire

November 6 - Stories by the Fire - Join us for a night of s’mores and stories with Professional Storyteller Bully Bill as our 26th President Theodore Roosevelt. Bill will tell stories of Teddy’s time as the President and of his cherished moments with his family in the parks he helped to create. We will have s’mores from 5:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. while supplies last. Followed by an hour of storytime. Spots are limited. Pre-register online.
