Polling Place Reopens after Temporary Closure: Grafton School Complex back open to voters in Grafton Precinct
October 30, 2020
York County General Registrar Walt Latham is pleased to announce the reopening of the polling place at the Grafton School Complex after its closure earlier this year following a fire on February 3.
“The fire at the school complex changed the polling place from that location to County office space in Washington Square Shopping Center,” Latham said. “Voters in the Grafton Precinct were very understanding about the temporary relocation. I’m sure they are happy to be able to return to the Grafton School Complex for this election.”
Grafton precinct voters who report to the Registrar’s Office to vote on Tuesday will be directed to the school complex to vote.
“We are very fortunate that our office is just a mile or two from the school, so hopefully it won’t be too much of an inconvenience to a voter if they stop by this office instead of the school,” Latham added.
The Registrar’s Office locations are open on Monday and Tuesday for hand-delivery of ballots, but all other voters should report to their regular polling place on Tuesday. Polls are open on Tuesday, November 3, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, visit www.yorkcounty.gov/vote or call (757) 890-3440.
