Tomorrow is Trifecta of Drop-offs at the Operations Center; Registration Opens Monday for Parks & Recreation Summer Fun Program

Register Your Child for Summer Fun Camp!
Beginning Monday, you can register your child for York County Summer Fun Camp.  This safe and fun environment is scheduled for Mondays through Thursdays, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., from June 28 to July 29.  Camp locations are: Dare, Seaford, Grafton Bethel, Tabb, Coventry, and Magruder Elementary Schools, as well as Tabb and Queens Lake Middle Schools, for kids who have completed grades K-7.  Youth will have a fun-filled week of organized recreational games, arts and crafts, sports, guest speakers, special events, and more! Children should bring a lunch, snacks, and drinks each day. Fee is $225 for residents and $400 for non-residents.  Fees are waived for York County residents who qualify – more details available on the Parks and Recreation website.  Because of Virginia’s COVID-19 guidelines, a reduced number of spaces are available and we anticipate this program filling up quickly. So, don’t miss your opportunity!  Note: Registration for Field Trip Fever begins April 12.

Registration for Teens in the Leaders in Training Program Opens March 15
If you’re a teenager interested in learning useful job skills and developing leadership abilities, then consider registering for our Leaders in Training program! This is the perfect way to give back to your community and earn volunteer hours for school or scholarships while having fun at the same time. We offer flexible schedules, so teens can still enjoy summer break. Register online with a $25 application fee, due no later than April 23. Full details are available on the Parks and Recreation website.

First Shred Event of the Year at this Weekend’s Household Chemical/Computer Collection Event
