New Quarter Park

Join us at New Quarter Park

Hello All,

The Croods: A New Age

Come join us tonight for our Movie in the Park! We will be showing the movie will be The Croods: A New Age. The Croods must find a new home. They set off into uncharted waters, and soon enough, they come upon a haven that can provide for their needs. Unfortunately, there is a small problem: another family has already taken residence in the area. Movies begin roughly 15 minutes after sunset. Concessions will be available for purchase during the movie. We encourage you to please bring blankets and chairs for the showing. In case of inclement weather, please check our RainoutLine on our website or call 757-890-3501, extension 35 for NQP Events.

  • Sunset Kayaking Tour registration ends April 15. The tour will be on Thursday, April 22, at 6:45 p.m. This is a great beginner kayaking program. We will go over basic paddling techniques and safety, then paddle down the beautiful Queens Creek to enjoy the sunset on the water. The fee is $25 per person. Must be 13 years or older (13 to 17-year-olds must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.)

  • "Weekend on Your Wheels" (WOYW) registration ends April 23, for the first race. This popular youth mountain bike race series is returning to York County’s New Quarter Park this spring! Kids ages 3 to 18 can register to race at our park's specially designed mountain bike trail for children. The fee for the series is $25 per child or $10 for a single race day. All participants will receive a number plate for their bikes. Race days are as followed: Race #1 April 25, Race #2 May 2, Race #3 May 8, Rain date May 16.

Please register online at our website at www.yorkcounty.gov/parksandrec. All our programs are modified to ensure we recreate responsibly and meet current Virginia phased guidelines as well as executive orders.
