Time to Get Pumped Up! WOYW Returns April 25
The popular “Weekend on Your Wheels” youth mountain bike race series returns to New Quarter Park on Sunday, April 25! Kids ages 3 to 18 can register to race at the park’s specially designed mountain bike trail for children. Three courses are available for different age and skill levels. Parents must be present and helmets are required. Registration fee is $25 per child or $10 for a single race day. In case of bad weather, call the rainout line at (757) 890-3501 and dial ext. 35. BOS meeting and Proposed FY22 Budget Public Hearing is Tuesday
The public has the opportunity to comment on the County Administrator’s proposed Fiscal Year 2022 Budget at Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting. The Public Hearing begins at 7 p.m. in York Hall (301 Main Street). Those unable to attend the in-person meeting may email the Board members or leave a voice mail message at (757) 890-3220. To have your comments included in the official minutes of the meeting, please be sure to leave your full name and address. The Budget is scheduled for adoption on May 4. Capacity is limited. Movies and Story Times at the Park and Libraries!
The popular free Movies in the Parks series continues tomorrow with Detective Pikachu at Charles Brown Park (1950 Old Williamsburg Road)! Movie time is sunset and moviegoers may bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating. Concessions are available to purchase.
