County offices closed Memorial Day Monday, May 31

The following York County courts and offices are closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 31:

• Courts - Closed
• York County Offices - Closed
• Virginia Cooperative Extension Service - Closed
• York-Poquoson Social Services - Closed
• York County Public Libraries and book drop - Closed
• Waste Management Administrative Office - Closed
• VPPSA Composting Facility - Closed

Memorial Day Garbage/Recycling Collection Schedule (Red Week Recycling)

• Curbside recycling collections will not be collected on Monday. Recycling collections are delayed one day until all routes are completed on Saturday. 
• Curbside garbage collections are not affected by the holiday. Residents are reminded to have their garbage containers at the roadside by 7 a.m. on their regular day**
• The Waste Management Transfer Station and citizen drop-off areas for garbage and recycling are open regular operating hours.
