Comprehensive Plan Review Committee Seeks Your Input - Two meetings on land use are planned over the next few weeks
August 24, 2021
Two public meetings are scheduled where citizens can offer their views about future land use and development in York County. This input will assist the citizens’ committee that is charged with overseeing the update of the County’s Comprehensive Plan – the long-range plan for the physical development of the County. The meetings will run from 7 to 9 p.m.:
- Wednesday, September 1 at Bruton High School (185 East Rochambeau Drive)
- Wednesday, September 15 at Tabb Library (100 Long Green Boulevard)
Each meeting will begin with a presentation at 7 p.m. where information about the current Comprehensive Plan, adopted in 2013, will be provided. This will be followed by an “open house” session where citizens will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with members of the Comprehensive Plan Review Steering Committee and share their ideas and opinions about any changes they would like to see in the updated Plan. County Staff will be available to answer questions and record citizen comments.
Residents who are unable to attend but would like to voice their opinions may do so by leaving a voice mail message at (757) 890-DATA (3282) or by email to email@example.com.
The Comprehensive Plan Review website – www.York2040.com – features the committee roster, meeting minutes and presentations, an ongoing blog about committee activities, and much more.
