 #1 Skate, Rattle & Roll Returns 

Skating

Parents need a break or youth want something fun to do on a Friday night? Skating is BACK! Come join us on Friday nights for 2 sessions of skating. The first session is for elementary school participants (grades K-5) and their families from 6-8 pm. The second session is for middle school participants (grades 6-8) from 8:30-10:30 pm.  Admission is $5 a session (includes skates), rollerblade rental is $3 extra, and concessions are available for purchase.  Masks are required during check-in, skate pick-up and return, concessions, and while sitting in the gym.  Masks are not required while skating.  Pre-registration is required at least one-day prior-limited space.  

 #2 Youth Basketball 

Basketball

Registration for Youth Basketball programs begins October 4.

* Leagues for ages 7-18 with boys and girls divisions. The fee is $55 for residents and $90 for non-residents with the fee waived for York County SNAP participants
* Start Smart Instructional Basketball for ages 5-7. This 6-week program serves as an introductory program for children to learn the motor skills of basketball as they prepare for league play. Fee is $55 for residents and $80 for non-residents. Registration ends October 31-limited space!
* Saturday Basketball Clinics for ages 7-12 are being offered in November and December before the league. Fee is $20 for residents and $30 for non-residents (limited space). Visit website for dates, times & locations.

 #3 Pumpkin Carving & Treat Trails 

Treat Trails

Youth ages 6-12 can enjoy this fun fall event at New Quarter Park. Participants walk the trails to collect treats, plastic pumpkins with a surprise inside, and play a couple of games. In addition, families can pick out a pumpkin to carve at the event shelter-all supplies provided. The fee is $10 per child and includes a goodie bag. Register by October 15 Limited space!

 #4 Youth Tap & Ballet Dance Classes

Does your child like or want to learn how to tap or dance? We are now offering Ballet for ages 4-6 years beginning Friday, October 15 from 5:00 pm - 5:50 pm and Tap from 6:00 pm - 6:50 pm as well as Ballet Saturday, October 16 from 9:30 am - 10:20 am and Ballet/Tap Combo from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm for ages 7-12. Classes will be held at Seaford Elementary School. Pre-register by October 7.

 #5 Culture Day - Senior Center of York 

Kevin Smith

Join us on Thursday, October 21 at 1 pm, for a talk of amusement and mystery with Kevin Smith, Director of York County Library Services as he shares the history and fun facts about Halloween. Treats too. Pre-register by October 17. FREE
