After Thanksgiving, Say "Hello" to Christmas!

Yorktown Celebrates Christmas!

Get ready for a full weekend of Christmas events beginning Friday (12/3) and continuing through Sunday (12/5).  A family tradition continues Friday evening with the Christmas Tree Lighting.  Gather at the Victory Monument for the march down to Riverwalk Landing where the tree is officially lit and a special visitor from the North Pole arrives to greet children. On Saturday, return to Yorktown for the Christmas Market on Main. This popular event features vendors selling the perfect items to wrap and place under your tree and you can enjoy strolling musicians along with Santa and Mrs. Claus.  Saturday night, the Lighted Boat Parade thrills visitors with gorgeous decorations and sparkling lights on the water. A roaring bonfire keeps spectators warm on the beach and adds to the ambiance of the event. Come back to Yorktown on Sunday for another great day of shopping the Christmas Market on Main and attend Cookies with Santa in York Hall.  It’s a weekend full of holiday spirit and joy!  Complete details are in this week’s press release.
