 #2 Butterfly Walk & Talk

Butterfly

Spring is in the air, and the flowers are blooming. With the fresh flowers, come all of the creatures who feed off the flowers, including butterflies. Join us at New Quarter Park on Saturday, April 23, 10 am-12 pm for this free program as Master Naturalist Adrienne Gary leads us on a walk through the park. You will be amazed by all of the sights, sounds, and smells of spring. Be sure to register before the program online. Register by April 21.

 #3 CarFit Event

CarFit Event

Peninsula Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (S.A.L.T.) will sponsor a CarFit Event on April 26, 10 am- 1 pm, at the McReynolds Athletic Complex, 412 Sports Way, Yorktown. CarFit is a free community-based educational program designed to help mature drivers assess how well they and their cars “fit” together, and what actions they might take to improve that fit. A team of trained professionals will complete a 12-point checklist including the position of the driver’s seat, the driver's ability to easily reach pedals, and proper adjustment of mirrors. The 12-point check takes about 20 minutes. A proper fit in your car can greatly increase the driver’s safety and the safety of others. Make your CarFit appointment online or just drive up the day of the event. For more information, please call 757-890-4102.
