Waste Management Operations Inclement Weather Update - Week of February 17

Due to winter weather, Waste Management Operations are as follows:

The VPPSA compost Facility closed at noon on Wednesday, February 19, and will remain closed on Thursday, February 20.

The transfer station, citizen garbage drop-off area, and recycling center/metal recycling will be closed at 2pm on Wednesday, February 19 and on Thursday, February 20 (normal operations are expected to resume on Friday).

Curbside Collections

Recycling (Red Week)

• Wednesday routes that were not completed will be collected on Saturday, February 22
• Thursday routes will be collected on Saturday, February 22
• Friday routes will be collected on Monday, February 24

All Blue Week collections will run on a 1-day delay next week (Week of February 24):

• Monday collected on Tuesday (February 25)
• Tuesday collected on Wednesday (February 26)
• Wednesday collected on Thursday (February 27)
• Thursday collected on Friday (February 28)
• Friday collected on Saturday (March 1)

Garbage

• Curbside garbage collection will not run on Thursday, and plan to resume on Friday, February 21.  Collections will continue on Saturday.
