York County to Celebrate Juneteenth with Family-Friendly Festival at McReynolds Athletic Complex

York County invites residents and visitors to commemorate Juneteenth with a vibrant, family-friendly celebration on Saturday, June 14, at the McReynolds Athletic Complex (MAC) Soccer Fields, located at 412 Sports Way, Yorktown, VA.
This 4th annual free and alcohol-free community event promises an exciting day filled with music, culture, and fun for all ages. Festivities kick off at 5:30pm and continue into the evening, culminating in a high-energy concert from local favorite SLAPNATION, performing live from 7 to 9 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy:

The celebration will be hosted by none other than Doc Christian, the dynamic radio personality from Groove 101.9, who will serve as the event MC, keeping the crowd engaged and the energy high.
Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, marks the end of slavery in the United States. This event is an opportunity for the York County community to come together in unity, remembrance, and joy while honoring African American culture and heritage.
