New Recycling Schedule Available – See Your Pickup Day!

Dear York County Resident,  

We’re excited to announce that curbside recycling service will resume in York County on Monday, January 5, 2026!  

York County has partnered with Republic Services, the same company that currently provides trash collection, to handle recycling pickup.  

Recycling Can Update

Replacement of TFC-branded recycling cans is still in progress due to recent weather-related delays. If you already have a York County-branded recycling can, you’ll continue using it for the new program. Thank you for your patience as we complete this transition.

Important Changes

Recycling pickup may occur on a different day than your trash collection.  
To find your recycling day, visit www.yorkcounty.gov/recycle for step-by-step instructions or call 757-890-3780 for assistance.

What You Need to Know

A list of accepted and unaccepted recyclable items is available on our website. Please review this information so you’re ready when service begins.  
Billing will restart automatically when service resumes. Charges for January and February will appear on your March statement. No action is required on your part.
