New Quarter Park

Come to New Quarter Park this Weekend

Hello All,

This Saturday we have two exciting programs for you. The first begins at 10 a.m with a FREE Walk & Talk – Trees of New Quarter Park. Join our Tree Stewards from the Master Gardeners Program on a walk through New Quarter to identify several different species of trees. Meet at shelter #4 next to the basketball courts.
Join us Saturday night as the NASA/Langley Skywatchers Astronomy Club will be hosting a FREE telescope viewing program. The Skywatchers will use high quality telescopes to focus on Jupiter and other celestial bodies for viewing and will answer any and all questions you may have about the night sky. Set up begins at 8 p.m. with viewing starting at 9 p.m. at the overflow parking lot located on the right hand side of the road about a half mile into the park. Viewing will take place until 11 p.m.
View a printable calendar for August and September. If you have any questions about our upcoming programs please call us at 757-890-5840 or the Parks and Recreation main office at 757-890-3500.

See you at the park,

Michael Wilcox
