Yorktown is pleased to partner with Culturefix
for a regional culinary festival featuring food, drink, music and art in Greater Williamsburg. The four-day event, April 25 – 28, is designed to increase visitation to the destination by showcasing some of the area’s amazing restaurants, breweries, wineries, chefs and musicians.
Yorktown Tapas Crawl
The festival kicks off Thursday, April 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Riverwalk Landing with the Yorktown Tapas Crawl featuring delicious menus and select alcohol pairings at three waterfront restaurants. The menu will appeal to seafood fans, craft beer lovers and anyone with an undeniable sweet tooth!
Customers start at Riverwalk Restaurant
with a choice of a draft beer, glass of red or white wine or specialty cocktail. The menu includes a beautiful Seafood Charcuterie of cured salmon, ahi tuna, and octopus salami served with French bread, pickled onion, dill cream cheese and wasabi aioli.
Next up, at Water Street Grille
, the group will get a choice of a 12-oz draft beer selection, glass of selected red or white wine, or a specialty cocktail offering. Drinks are paired with a tantalizing trio: Mac & Cheese Eggroll, Crispy Fried Oyster and Flash Fried Zucchini.
They’ll finish up the night at Carrot Tree
for a taste of the bakery’s legendary Desserts: Opera Cake, Tiramisu, and a delicious éclair. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased online
Pirate Invasion Market & Pirates Invade Yorktown Festival
On Saturday, April 27 – visitors can stock up on their favorite dock-to-dish goodies including fresh seafood, dips, farm-fresh produce, artisan breads, scratch made desserts, honey, and more at Yorktown Market Days. The special themed Pirate Invasion Market
runs in conjunction with the overall two-day Pirates Invade Yorktown Festival
. The extended market runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Guests can enjoy a live chef cooking demo at 10 a.m. with Water Street Grille. And they can sample from several food trucks and vendors including The Hungry Pug, Kathi's Clam Chowder, Boyd's Tasty Dogs and Fish Food by Uncle Russ.
During the festival, families can explore an array of dining options throughout Historic Yorktown. In the spirit of the event, Water Street Grille is releasing a festive menu featuring items such as Golden Coins (Flash Fried Zucchini Bites with Chipotle Ranch), Off the Hook Haddock (Friend Haddock Fillet), Let’s Sea the Kraken (pizza topped with lobster, octopus salami, mussels, and clams) and several Pick Your Poison specialty cocktails.
Also serving lunch: Carrot Tree, Riverwalk Restaurant, Yorktown Pub, Larry’s, Dukes Italian Eatery, and Mobjack Bay Coffee Roasters & Petit Café. No tickets or reservations required.

Each of the below events is on the green, under a tent, on the lawn of the Williamsburg Community Building on N. Boundary St. Thursday, April 25:
“Live on the Green” is a free community concert featuring Slapnation. Yorktown Market Days Food Truck Matchsticks BBQ and FoodaTude will be on site selling dinner. York County breweries Virginia Beer Company and Alewerks along with Billsburg Brewery, the Williamsburg Winery and Precarious Beer Project will also be set up from 6 to 10 p.m. This event is FREE and open to the public. Friday, April 26:
“Foodapalooza of Taste” takes place at 6:30 p.m. with eleven phenomenal chefs from Hampton Roads most popular restaurants preparing small plates served with wine, beer and unique cocktails. Adding to the ambiance is a live performance from Good Shot Judy. Tickets are $75 per person with proceeds to support Williamsburg Area Meals on Wheels. Saturday, April 27:
“Young and Hungry” featuring six of the region’s youngest and most progressive chefs as they prepare a six-course menu utilizing ingredients from our region’s best local sources. Complete menu available here

The sixth annual “Williamsburg Craft Beer Festival” takes place from noon to 5 p.m. and will feature 50 craft beers from 25 craft breweries. Tickets are $35 for general admission and $60 for VIP which includes a complimentary tasting glass and unlimited pours. 100% of the proceeds from the event will go to local non-profits including Avalon Center; Bacon Street Youth and Family Services; Here for the Girls, Inc; Literacy for Life; Williamsburg Rotary Club; and Aspire Young Professionals of Greater Williamsburg.
