Keep York County Beautiful
There is still time to sign up for The Great American Cleanup, which kicks off May 3-4. Choose a location for your own cleanup, or we can give you ideas for a location. For more information, visit our Community Cleanup Partnerships page.
Clean the Bay Day is also coming up on Saturday June 1. For thirty-one years, Clean the Bay Day has been a true Virginian tradition and an annual opportunity for families, military installations, businesses, clubs, civic or church groups to give back to local waterways.
Please also consider the Adopt-A-Spot program. Groups and/or individuals are encouraged to play active and ongoing roles in beautifying, cleaning and maintaining York County’s public spaces, including creeks and storm drains. Adopt-A-Spot activities might include removing litter, graffiti and/or weeds, maintaining a storm drain, and/or other forms of general upkeep.
Our Litter Cleanup Kits will give you all the tools for a successful cleanup event!
