Yorktown's Inaugural Maritime Market is here!
Enjoy Seafood, Pirates, Maritime History, Kids Crafts, Nautical Art & Visiting Tall Ship
You're invited to the Yorktown Waterfront this Saturday, Nov. 9 for a day filled with delicious fresh seafood, special maritime exhibits, nautical-inspired art, and several free kids activities. The action will stretch from the Piers all the way down to the fountain area in front of the Riverwalk Landing businesses (across from the parking terrace).
Enjoy crab cakes, fried oysters, clam chowder, lobster rolls, shrimp polenta, and fish & chips from local seafood trucks and vendors including Shore Bites, Kathi's Clam Chowder, Great Wicomico Oyster Company, VA Blue Crab, Coastal Thirst, Riverwalk Restaurant, Creekside Catering, and Chef Joseph's Kick Sauce LLC. Not a seafood lover? That's okay! You won't leave hungry. We've got you covered with BBQ, chili, hot dogs, and other non-seafood menu items too.
Free kids activities will take place behind the Freight Shed and in the Fountain Green area. Be on the lookout for an interactive pirate encampment, an opportunity to paint buoy Christmas ornaments (while supplies last), nautical-themed face painting, colonial interpreters from the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, and fun family photo cutouts. Speaking of photos, don't miss your opportunity to take your picture with the visiting LOVE letters!
