Youth Soccer

Fall Registration

Registration is July 1 through July 31, 2020 for League ages and July 1 through August 28, 2020 for Start Smart. You may register in person at the Parks and Recreation Office. Office hours are 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or online. Registration forms will be available in the office.  After the registration deadline, anyone interested may sign up for the waitlist online only and will be assigned to teams on an as-needed basis.

Season Dates

League Ages - September 12 through October 31, 2020
Start Smart - September 12 through October 24, 2020


Youth ages 3-18 may participate.  Students who are currently in grades 8-12 and are trying out for a high school soccer team are encouraged to register now for recreational spring soccer.  Refunds will be given to those registrants who make a high school soccer team.

Age Grouped Leagues (ages 5-18)

Age grouped leagues are all coed and organized as follows: 6 and Under (6U), 8 and Under (8U), 10 and Under (10U), 12 and Under (12U), 14 and Under (14U), and 18 and Under (18U).  Players will be assigned to a league based on their age as of October 1, 2020.  This is the same date the schools use to determine “school age.”

Example:  Even though a child may have turned 11 years old on October 2, their league age for fall soccer would be 10 years old, since that was their age this past October 1st.  As a result, they would register to play in the 10U Fall Youth Soccer League.

Note: Children with a league age of 5-years old may be registered in either the 6U Spring Soccer League OR the “Start Smart” Instructional Program described below.

Player Evaluations ( 14u & 18u)

Each player must attend the player evaluation for their age group.  All evaluations will be conducted at the McReynolds Athletic Complex (MAC).

Start Smart (Instructional Class)

This coed program is for children ages 3-5.  Parents are encouraged to participate with their children in learning the fundamentals of soccer.  Classes meet for one hour on Saturday. There is a maximum of 30 kids per class (2 classes, 2 sites).  Jerseys are NOT provided. Participants must provide their own shin guards and wear them to all practices.  Second child discount or fee wavier does not apply.


Residents - 

The fees are $55 for the first child; $50 for each additional child per family, York County Residents only.

Non-County Residents - 

Non-county residents are $90 for all non-county residents.

Fee Waived - 

Fees are waived for York County families falling within the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP - Federal Food Stamp) eligibility limits. Proof of eligibility along with proper ID are required for registration in person at the Parks and Recreation office. This waiver is available for York County residents only.

No Special Requests


All participants must provide their own shin guards and wear them to all practices and games. Shoes with molded soles are recommended but sneakers are acceptable. Shoes that have detachable, metal, or full sized toe cleats are prohibited. All jewelry is prohibited. Jerseys are provided for ages 6U and above and must be worn for all games. NO shorts/pants with zippers or pockets allowed at practices and games.

Any parent who coaches, their child will be automatically placed on their team within the age restrictions.
