[ARCHIVED] Aromas 1781 Cafe Opening In The American Revolution Museum At Yorktown

YORKTOWN, Va., June 6, 2023 – Guests will find a new perk at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown with the opening of 1781 Café by Aromas.

An official ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with York County Economic & Tourism Development and the Jamestown-Yorktown Educational Trust will take place at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 13. The public is invited to the ribbon cutting, and the first 100 customers who make a purchase will receive a commemorative Silipint pint glass.

1781 Café by Aromas, which opened at the museum in late May, offers a new coffee-centric menu, building on the success of AromasWorld restaurants on Prince George Street in Williamsburg, the Swem Library at William & Mary and The Captain’s Den in Newport News.

1781 Café by Aromas offers patrons affordable and delicious food and beverage options, including grab-and-go food options for individual guests and groups, in a comfortable, cozy setting.

While the museum café has long been a favorite option for a midday lunch break, guests now can stop by throughout the day to purchase a cold or hot coffee drink or a smoothie with a snack. The newly renovated café was funded by the Jamestown-Yorktown Educational Trust.

Adult and school groups can pre-order healthy boxed lunches and enjoy those at the picnic areas adjacent to the museum’s re-created Continental Army encampment, Revolution-era farm and bus loop.

1781 Café by Aromas joins the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation as a new museum dining option. The café at Jamestown Settlement is administered by long-time hospitality partners, JCM, Inc., the owners of Second Street Bistro in Williamsburg and Newport News.

1781 Café by Aromas is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, located at 200 Water Street in Yorktown. For information about the 1781 Café, call (757) 847-3107.
