York County Department of Public Works has been collaborating with a design consultant and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to improve the east side of Villa Way between Yorktown Road and Mount Vernon Drive by constructing a sidewalk and implementing safe street design principles such as crosswalks. This collaboration promotes safe pedestrian mobility, including, but not limited to, accessibility of all walks and connections to schools.
An information open house for this project will take place on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. County staff will be present to provide information, answer questions, and receive citizen comments.
