The men and women of DPW are highly-trained individuals in their fields. They work hard to continually improve the infrastructure of York County, increasing their knowledge through continued education and certifications. And it shows!! Read some of the great things York County citizens have to say about our DPW employees!
VA Gazette: Just want to recognize the various companies who put down new pipes in the Carver Garden neighborhood. I miss all the panels of each truck going up and down the different streets. Our neighborhood is always quiet and trucks made it seem like something was going on. And it was. Each morning it was so cold, and the workers did their job like it was a hot summer day. They did an excellent job. Thanks from the lady on Drew Road.
E-mail: For what it’s worth, I must say that working with you and your colleagues at York County has been a pleasure. You’ve managed to be both cooperative and efficient, which is a rare combination indeed.

E-mail: "I just wanted to let you know I saw games at Chisman being played today and the new pitching mounds and dugouts are great. Smiles all around. A little chilly, but not too cold to play ball. Tournament Director said, “The fields look great!”

E-mail: Mr. [Resident] just stopped by and wanted to personally tell the stormwater crew how much he appreciated your hard work. He said that he has lived at [Address] since 1984 and has never seen the ditch function this well. He was so appreciative and wanted to make sure that you know how happy and thankful he is.

DPW Service Request Entry – We would like to thank the County for picking up the debris from the recent storms. A special thank you to Joe Woody who not only picked up our stacks of tree limbs and twigs, but thoroughly raked the area clean. Great service and we are very appreciative.
