Doug Deach began his career with York County in May 1997 as a Service Technician, working on the County’s Turf Equipment. After a number of years, he was promoted to a position working on Heavy Equipment and Trucks. He also later began maintaining and repairing Fire and Rescue Apparatus. He has proudly served on many Fire Apparatus acquisitions, working directly with Fire and Life Safety (from design until the truck was placed in service). In 2018, he assumed the role of Fleet and Maintenance Superintendent, overseeing Vehicle Maintenance shop operations and working with countless vendors for repairs and vehicle upfits. He is ASE, EVTCC, and EETC certified in over 35 areas, and received his diploma from Fischer Technical Institute in 1993 after completing a 2-year course in Diesel Mechanics/Heavy Duty Diesel Technology.
As Fleet Manager, his goal is to provide a safe and reliable fleet of vehicles for use throughout the County, working to meet the needs of all agencies.
