About JoAnn Mewborn
JoAnn Mewborn serves as Webmaster for York County, where she oversees the architecture, design, and daily administration of the County’s government, economic development, and tourism websites. In this role, she collaborates with departments and stakeholders across the organization to ensure residents, businesses, and visitors have access to accurate, timely, and user-friendly online information. Her work focuses not only on maintaining content but also on enhancing accessibility, usability, and design so that the County’s digital presence reflects both the community’s needs and the unique character of York County. She also manages ADA compliance efforts for all County websites, ensuring they meet accessibility standards, and oversees the County’s web-based Chatbot, providing residents with quick and convenient access to information and services.
Ms. Mewborn began her career with York County in 2002 in the Public Information Office, where she first developed her expertise in web management. In 2007, she joined the Planning Division as a Planning Assistant before being appointed Webmaster in 2012. Over the course of her career, she has played a vital role in advancing the County’s digital communications and ensuring its websites remain a trusted resource for the community.
