Kelli is an accomplished Marketing and Public Relations Professional, bringing over 20 years of experience in communications, marketing, and project management across the public, nonprofit, healthcare, and media sectors. Prior to joining York County, she served as Communications Director and Marketing Project Manager at ICM, where she led cross-functional teams in executing organization-wide marketing strategies, managed complex projects, and supported development officers with campaign materials and event coordination. Her work consistently bridged the gap between mission and message.
She has also held key communication roles at Newport News Shipbuilding, where she assisted in high-profile campaigns and major events such as naval ship christenings and employee engagement initiatives, and at Obici Hospital, where she handled media relations and internal communications. Earlier in her career, she worked as a TV reporter, radio anchor, and freelance journalist, giving her a strong foundation in storytelling and public-facing content.
A graduate of Lynchburg College with honors in Communication Studies, she is a proud member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Lambda Pi Eta, and Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. Her work has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Model of Excellence Award from Newport News Shipbuilding and the Obici Star Award.
In her free time, she enjoys boating, beach days, cornhole, and crochet, and spending time with her husband, Jeff, their two girls, and Rocky, their mini dachshund.
