November 1 through March 31 - Monday-Thursday - CLOSED Friday - 10 a.m. to Dusk Saturday & Sunday - 8 a.m. to Dusk
During the winter season, New Quarter Park will be open only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until dusk. Park staff will be onsite during these hours and the public restrooms will be available. During inclement weather, the park gates will remain locked.
About the Park
Located close to historic Williamsburg, this 545-acre park offers a wide variety of recreational activities and special programs for individuals, families, and groups throughout the year. Amenities include miles of hiking and mountain bike trails, a campfire circle, 4 picnic shelters for group rental, 11 other smaller shelters, an 18-hole championship disc golf course, playgrounds, restroom facilities, softball field, 2 basketball half courts, sand volleyball, and much more! Fishing is available from a floating pier and easy access for kayaking and canoeing is available from a scenic launch site. There is no park entrance fee.
New Quarter Park is a natural wildlife sanctuary. With its mature woodlands, meadows, and tidal creek habitats, the park is home to a wide variety of birds and butterflies. You can see all the birds spotted at New Quarter Park here.
