Development-related information crosses over several County departments and divisions. This dashboard is intended to make it easier for citizens to find this information by providing a single portal for accessing it. Most notably, the monthly Development Activity Report has been enhanced to include links to related documents as well as a two-year archive.
Each month the Department of Planning and Development Services produces a Development Activity Report with information about recent and upcoming rezoning and Special Use Permit applications, site and subdivisions plans submitted or approved, Land Disturbing Activity permits issued, and applications to the Historic Yorktown Design Committee. Released the first week of the month, this report includes links, as available, to the materials.
Each week, the Board of Supervisors receives a package of memos, correspondence, and information from the County Administrator and staff. Any materials related to development can be found under County Administrator Correspondence or General Correspondence.
York County’s Comprehensive Plan is the long-range plan for the County’s physical development. Required by the Code of Virginia, the Plan addresses land use, transportation, housing, public facilities, environment, etc., and must be reviewed every five years. Here you will be able to learn more about the process and status.
