More… On April 22, join us for our Earth Day Service Project at Charles Brown Park and help make it shine. We will need help with trash collecting, trail maintenance, and trail mulching. We need everyone's help and cannot do it without you! Everyone who comes out will need to have clothes they can get dirty, a hat, water, work gloves, and their own garden trimmers. The Park Ambassador Program promotes community stewardship, bridges communication between the community and the Parks and Recreation... More… The Park Ambassador Program promotes community stewardship, bridges communication between the community and the Parks and Recreation Division, and sends a message that the community cares about its parks. Through weekly visits to local parks, Ambassadors document maintenance needs, report acts of vandalism, interact with park users, promote park safety, and encourage an overall positive use of public space. Ambassadors must submit online monthly observation reports to Parks and Recreation staff. An orientation training will be set for volunteers. Generally, weekly park visits are completed at your leisure, ideally during peak use times by the general public. Observation reports are not necessary weekly unless there is a safety concern.
