Life safety is the primary focus of today's fire and life safety departments. The Prevention and Community Safety Division is responsible for public fire and life safety education, fire inspections, fire investigations, and as well as conducting plans reviews and inspections for compliance with the life safety aspects of the building code. Did you know that most accidents and injuries are preventable? We can all do our part to make our neighborhoods and our communities much safer places to be. The Prevention and Community Safety Division is here to help.
Use the resources in our pages and contact us if you have questions or need assistance. You can also contact Fire and Life Safety at 890-3600 to ask about receiving safety information in other languages.
