Cooperative Purchasing

As allowed by public law and when it is advantageous, the County may utilize cooperative contracts established by the Commonwealth of Virginia or other public entities. 

We are a member of National Cooperative Procurement Partners (NCPP) , whose mission is to produce meaningful resources to support public procurement agencies.  Our membership helps the County meet challenges head-on:  improving operating efficiency, expanding our capacity, increasing professional knowledge, and gaining industry insight.

With the proliferation of Cooperative Contracts, the county may use third-party services to assist in selecting the "best" coop contract to use when a product or service is available through multiple coop organizations.  Examples include:  CompareCoops.
